Since 2007, Lyn has been teaching at various colleges and universities and joined
the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business in 2020. Lyn received his master's of
science in organizational leadership from Colorado State University and obtained a
doctorate of business administration from the University of Dallas. He had a successful
career in hospitality (Division Director for various Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties),
law enforcement (certified by Colorado as a Police Field Training Officer, co-authored
the Filed Training Manual approved by Colorado’s Peace Officers Standard Training
(POST) Board, awarded Commendation Letter for Heroism in 2006 and Life Saving Medal
in 2013), and academia (credentialed by Colorado as a Business/Management/Marketing
Community College Instructor; Dean’s Certificate for Excellence in Educating and Retaining
Students).
One of his research studies was presented at the 2018 annual conference of the Academy
of Management and it was the base for a methodological paper he published in Sage's Research
Methods Cases. His research interests revolve around leadership, corporate social
responsibility, and marketing. Currently, he has several marketing papers in data
analysis or final review before the journal submission.
